Why Chiron rushes through Scorpio and crawls through Aries
Picture a runner on an oval track. On the tight inside bend the runner is close to the post and sweeps past fast. On the far straight the runner looks slow from the middle of the field. Chiron does the same thing. Near the Sun it races. Far from the Sun it barely moves.
Seen from Earth, that turns into wildly uneven stays in each sign. I measured one full loop of Chiron, from its last entry into Aries in October 1976 to its next entry into Aries in September 2026. That loop ran 49.93 years. Here is how those years split up.

Read the first row and the last sign row again. Aries holds Chiron 4.8 times longer than Libra does. Scorpio sits near the bottom at 1.92 years. The twelve figures add back up to 49.93 years, which matches the loop I measured. That check is the proof the table is sound.

The two living groups who carry this placement
Only two groups alive today were born with Chiron in Scorpio. The first were born between November 1946 and November 1948. They are the tail end of the post-war baby wave. The second were born between December 1996 and September 1999, with the two gaps noted above. They are in their late twenties now.

Every date on this page comes from the Horizons service run by NASA at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I asked it for object 2060, seen from the centre of the Earth, over the years 1930 to 2050. The figure I read is the one Horizons labels as ecliptic longitude of date. That is the same frame a birth chart uses, so no further shift was needed.
I scanned the whole span in two day steps and flagged each sign border. Then I asked Horizons again, hour by hour, around each flagged spot. The dates in the table are good to the hour. The twelve stay lengths were then added up. They come to 49.93 years against a catalogue orbit of about 50.4 years. The small gap is normal: my loop was measured between two sightings from a moving Earth, not between two fixed points in space.
